re run on one of our TV stations and again I am following.
There are some of the shows that I love but first place goes to Homicide Life on the Street
My favorite partners on the show are played by Daniel Baldwin (fav of all Baldwin Bros) and Melissa Leo who portrayed Beau Felton and Kay Howard.
And most favorite of them all is played by really good actor Reed Diamond as detective Mike Kellerman,
Mike's partner, my sister favorite, which I also like, was Meldrick Lewis (played by Clark Johnson)
There are more wonderful partner pairings in the show and most funnier is one of Stan Bolander and John Munch (Ned Beatty and Richard Belzer)
And then there is magnificent actor Andre Braugher that is amazing in a role of Frank Pembelton, his partner was Tim Baylis (played by Kyle Secor).
Tim Bayliss, from day one when he got his primary case never stop pursuing what happened in Adeena Watson case that haunted him till the last episode.
Steve Crosetti is a detective played by Jon Polito that I wished stayed more than he did, he was such a character. He and Meldrick were partners at first.
One man was in charge of them all and that is Al Giardello played by the legendary Yaphet Kotto.
I didn't like it as much after season where Kellerman leaves, since they brought in some characters that really were getting on my nerve, especially one who was so against Mike.
But at least they are in heaven together. (OK I know it is just a show, but they are together in show heaven)

I survived the hell of war...
I survived the hell of war...
When you live everyday surrounded by gunfire, bomb shelling and terror and when your only thought is will you make it through the day or will I have enough food to eat it is something no one should ever experience. I was 13 years old. I couldn't play or go to school instead I was hiding in the seller of my neighbors' house, trying to stay alive with the rest of my family. Wondering, maybe today they won't bomb shell my part of town so I could go outside for a little wile and let the sunshine burn my face. I was 13 years old. Me and my sister along with my mother had to go, while under gunfire, to find some food and water for us. And we were doing that basically every other day. My house was hit two times. And there were maybe 6 around or near by my house. The closest granate that fell near me was 3 meter far away and if there wasn't this brick wall I wouldn't be here. I was only 13 years old. When we were under bomb shelling my sister would tell me these stories and times when we were younger. About how I was excited at my first day of school, about road trips to see our cousins in Rozaje or how I really wanted to be in a picture whit my cousin Emir and he didn't. She would tell me about this one occasion when I was about 3 that I wanted to go up and around this hill to see my uncle and aunt and then she would explain to me that we have to travel two days to get there and that they don't live around just one hill but many hills and many mountains. It was those little things that you remember, that you have fond memories of. And I guess that helped me to escape from reality.
And one morning some masked soldiers who came to our home told us that we have to go and that we cannot come back. The day before that my sister has gone to see her friend and she stayed the night with her. The soldier separated men away from the women and children and took us and loaded us onto a bus. We were taken to an old soldier's barracks. My father and his two brothers were taken to be apart of what was called "live wall". It was group of men who had been placed in front of the squad of occupying soldiers so that they can shoot on our soldiers who were basically men and women from our town. They were like resistance who had been trying to free our town. Live wall was like some kind of line of defense for the occupying soldiers because they knew that our soldiers couldn't shoot on their own men.
I was 13 years old. Along with my mother and hundreds of other women and children I was "locked up" (In a pen. I ain't got a friend. Just affirming to one song don't mind that). They told us that they are locking us up because our own safety. (Yeah, right). I remember trying not to cry because I did not want my mother to see me crying. I knew she was thinking about my sister and my father, we hadn't heard anything about them and if she would see me crying that would make her feel even more powerless.
But I did cry only when my mom wasn't looking.
For first tree days we were only been given some old crackers and tea (if you could call it that but it felt like worm water with some color in it). Later on when UN peacekeepers came our women were allowed to cook some food for us. After few weeks we were sent home. The UN came to some agreement and women and children were freed. But my father and other men were not.
After we came home we found out that my sister came back that afternoon of the day we were taken away, and that she has been staying at the house of ours neighbors. They were good people even though we were at the opposites sides of the conflict. I was only 13 years old.
My father was freed several months later.
It has been 13 years. Memories will never fade away but I don't want them to. I want to be able to tell how it was. And what I do want is not to be repeated ever again. I wouldn't want that for anyone. I wish for peace to you, to me to all. Not matter who we are.
So today I am happy that I survived.
